Competitive surfer, Kelia Moniz of Kuliouou, signed a sponsorship deal in January with Roxy. Roxy sponsors top athletes and has an exclusive team. Kelia, known by most as "Sister”, is the 13-year-old daughter of well-known big wave surfer Tony Moniz. At only 12, she competed in her first professional contest, the Converse Longboard Pro, and caught the attention of the industry when she took second place against the pros.

Kelia kicked off her new contract with a modeling shoot for Roxy in Newport Beach. She is also sponsored by Da Kine and surf shop Up & Riding, which is owned by Hawaii Kai residents Steve and Shyrah Maurer and Jake Mizuno. Up & Riding's Steve Maurer commented, "We have known Kelia her whole life and believe that her kind heart, love for others, external and internal beauty, amazing talent, vibrant personality and strong character will be incredible assets to the Roxy brand.”.
