The Maids® Home Services announces 2005 Maid of the Year

Ellis Finch of The Maids serving Honolulu selected for honor

Ellis Finch, a team leader of The Maids Home Services in Honolulu, was recognized as the 2005 Maid of the Year at The Maids Home Services Annual Convention aboard the Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas cruise ship, April 7-10, 2006.

"I just like the good feeling I get helping people," said Finch. "When the customer is satisfied, I'm happy."

The Maids Home Services Maid of the Year Award is designed to honor and recognize the one working maid who best reflects the ideals, standards and system of The Maids Home Services. The maid's work habits, overall job performance and rapport with fellow employees sets him or her apart in the minds of customers, employees, managers and owners.

Finch was chosen from maids at more than 150 The Maids Home Services franchises throughout the United States and Canada. He has served as an employee at the Honolulu location for more than 15 years.

"I just want everyone to know I didn't do it alone," said Finch. "My team members are good people to work with. I've had a lot of help along the way."

"This honor means I'm appreciated for the work I do," said Finch. "After 15 years, it's just great to receive an award like this. I'm just doing my job."
