Angel was found out in Waianae in a parking lot with two puppies who may or may not have been related to her. She was spayed and then went back to her rescue group to be adopted. She developed meningitis a month later, which we treated. Angel has some permanent changes. She walks unsteadily and if she gets really excited, sometimes she wags her tail so hard she falls over. But she really doesn't care and is a happy-go-lucky dog generally. She's good-natured and gets along with everyone - dogs, cats, kids, adults, anyone willing to spend time with her. We're working on training with her, including housetraining, but she does listen, is beginning to tell us when she wants or needs to go out, and mostly wants to please.

Also, we have a number of other animals on our newly developed website, www.acfanimals.org which also has our adoption application conveniently available for downloading and printing.

Fuzz joined us as a sickly kitten about 6 months ago. He has fought off four bouts of nasty upper respiratory viruses and does have some permanent sinus changes that make him snuffle a little continuously. He takes Lysine daily, which is used in kitties and humans prone to viral problems, and hasn't had a virus in at least 3 months. He's sweet, gregarious and loves to cuddle and be cuddled. He likes other cats and dogs and thinks, generally, that the world should love him as much as he loves it.

Alfie is one of several kitties that ACF has helped who are being cared for by individual rescuers in their homes because we have 20 kittens in-house ourselves. So, if you're looking for a kitty and we don't have "the right one" here, just ask us for a referral to one of the rescuers like Alfie's foster mom. Alfie is neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, healthy and very playful.
