Tennis Team Wins Way to Nationals

The ladies tennis team (2.5) from the Oahu Club went to Sectionals after having no other teams to play during the season. We ended up playing five matches and we did not lose one! We had a great record. We played a team from the Big Island, one from Kauai and four from Oahu. It was a great weekend for all of our team. We all had a win. After an exciting match at center court at central Oahu Regional Park our team of Jenny Henry and Angel Rosenfeld won the final game in a third set tie-breaker. We were all biting our nails at the sidelines. The next step is a trip to Nationals at Indian Wells Resort in California. October 5th, 6th and 7th we will try to bring home (to Hawaii) the national title. No matter what happens we have had a great time with our Coach, James Jensen and our fun-loving Captains, Leslie Jeffryes and Elaine Curcio.
